Ozark is a new bloodline to Trailrunners. He was selected from the USA as a great fit to diversify our breeding program and bring new proven competition and pointing Lab lines into Canada. Both sides of his parentage showcase 4X Grand Master Pointing Retriever achievements (UKC sanctioned hunt test with upland component), Hunting Retriever Champions (UKC), and grandparents with Master Hunt (AKC) titles as well.

 His strong, balanced build is complimented with a beautiful square head. He is medium framed at 70lbs, and easily has the endurance and mindset to be out in the field all day without tiring. Like his parents, he has shown a propensity for pointing and has an excellent nose for quartering. His strong jaw and tenacity have also made him an asset on the goose hunt. He is focused in his work, but when the job is done for the day he easily switches off and relaxes. He is genuinely a ham when he's off the clock, and really enjoys goofing around and making people laugh.

So far, he has achieved all of his Working Certificates up to Excellent, his Junior and Senior Hunt Titles, and is working hard to complete his Master Title in the 2025 test season. When that work is done in the fall, his downtime will include all of his favourite activities; hunting pheasants, ducks, and geese for real.
