Sa Lee is a larger framed female at about 65lbs, with a beautiful soft coat and crushed velvet ears.  She is a direct daughter of our much loved Lee (Trailrunners Oakley Breezes By) and is similar to him in build, including his longer legs. We find this type of dog is better suited for goose hunting as they can move through scrub and carry bigger birds more easily. 

As a young dog, Sa Lee showed strong drive and competed in hunting competitions and achieved her Working Certificate and Junior Hunt titles. While she has been on 'mat leave' for several years now, she still throws and retrieves her own toy every day in her yard. She is a very independent dog, which her self directed play is just one example of. She shows her intelligence in how she takes initiative in different situations, such as raising her puppies. 

Sa Lee is an excellent 5 star mother. She has a very "business like" personality, loving to work, and she applies that same dedication and attention to detail to her pups. We swear she can count - in larger litters, she enforces a strict rotation system for nursing so that every pup gets enough. When pups are ready to wean, she also does that herself, and lets us know when she is ready to go back with her friend again to play with her toys all day. 

We love Sa Lee, she has become a very special dog to us in her own right, and has been an asset to our breeding program. She will retire from breeding after her 2026 litter, but her legacy will continue through the lives of her many pups and their happy owners and family members.
